As a Stateroom Attendant for Avalon Europe, you will play a key role in ensuring that our guests have a comfortable and memorable experience on their river cruise vacation. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of guest staterooms, working closely with the Housekeeping team to ensure that every detail meets Avalon’s high standards. From making beds and changing linens to restocking amenities and addressing guest requests, your dedication to service will enhance the overall guest experience on board.

In addition to daily cleaning tasks, you will manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and amenities, reporting when items need to be restocked. You will also be responsible for reporting any maintenance or repair issues to your Supervisor, ensuring that guest accommodations are always in excellent condition. Your role requires strict adherence to safety and security regulations, as well as collaboration with other departments to maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the ship. Providing exceptional guest service, including answering questions and offering recommendations for onboard activities, is also an important aspect of this position.

To succeed as a Stateroom Attendant, prior housekeeping experience in a hotel or cruise ship environment is preferred. You must have excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, as well as flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays. Basic English proficiency is required, with fluency in multiple languages considered a plus.
