As a Receptionist for Avalon Europe, you will be the welcoming face of our luxury river cruise ships, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, answering inquiries, and assisting with booking and check-in procedures. You will also maintain a clean and organized reception area, manage administrative tasks, and ensure that guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout their stay.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing information about our company, cruises, and services, as well as directing inquiries to the appropriate person or department. You will assist guests with bookings, handle payments, and verify passenger information. Maintaining an organized reception area, managing inventory, and collaborating with other departments are key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and ensure that any issues are transmitted to the appropriate team member or department for resolution.

To excel in this position, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or a related field preferred. At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry, is required. Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and booking systems are essential.
