As an Adventure Host / Entertainment Host for Avalon Europe, you will play a central role in shaping the atmosphere onboard by bringing together the worlds of adventure, entertainment and meaningful guest engagement. Your work will span from leading active excursions such as biking, hiking and kayaking to creating memorable evening programmes that include music sessions, themed nights, games and interactive activities. Every moment you facilitate should reflect Avalon Europe’s standard of warmth, safety and exceptional service, ensuring that guests feel welcomed, supported and inspired throughout their journey.
Beyond your visible performances, you will be responsible for organising and coordinating the technical and logistical aspects of all activities. This includes preparing equipment, managing inventories, overseeing lighting and sound, maintaining schedules and supporting the vessel’s pre-opening and closure processes. You will adapt and evolve programming based on guest demographics, itinerary changes and real-time needs while ensuring strict compliance with safety, hygiene and HACCP standards. Close collaboration with the Hotel Manager, Cruise Director and all onboard teams is essential, as seamless communication defines the success of each programme.
To thrive in this role, you should bring strong interpersonal skills, creativity, physical fitness and a passion for both hospitality and outdoor activities. Experience in entertainment, guest engagement or adventure leadership is highly beneficial, along with the ability to lead groups confidently and deliver activities with professionalism, positivity and flexibility.
