As the Front Desk Supervisor at Avalon Europe, you will be the face of our luxury river cruise ships, ensuring that our guests receive top-notch service from the moment they step on board until they disembark. You will oversee the Guest Services area, managing the reception desk and leading a team of Receptionists. Your responsibilities include handling guest check-ins and check-outs, responding to inquiries, and ensuring that all guest requests are met with efficiency and professionalism. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming and organized environment that enhances the overall guest experience.
In addition to managing daily front desk operations, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate guest information in the booking system, handling reservations, and processing cash and credit card transactions securely. You will also provide guests with information about the ship’s facilities, services, and itineraries, assisting with special requests and coordinating services such as transportation. Ensuring that the reception area is always clean and presentable is a key aspect of your role, contributing to the overall ambiance of the ship.
To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a receptionist or customer service position, preferably within the cruise or hospitality industry. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential. Proficiency in computer systems and reservation software is required, and fluency in English is mandatory, with additional language skills being an advantage.
